SBS 2008 og IPv6
Det varer sikkert et stykke tid inden vi rigtigt får brug for IPv6, så mange vælger at deaktivere det på maskinerne, især servere. Og med god grund for det kan give en del problemer – men det kan altså også give problemer at deaktivere det, hvis ikke det gøre korrekt!
Hvis man blot deaktivere det i opsætning af netkortet i SBS 2008, så kan du se nogle af følgende fejl efter en reboot:
- Microsoft Exchange fejler og får ikke startet
- Server hænger under “Applying Computer Settings…” ( logger måske på efter 30 – 60 minuter)
- Netværksikoner vises som offline
- Nogle eller måske alle de følgende log events:

For at løse disse problemer skal du først ind og aktivere IPv6 under opsætning af netværkskortet – og IPv4 skal også stadig være aktiveret. Genstart serveren.
De fleste behøver ikke at deaktivere IPv6, så med mindre du får problemer med relation til IPv6 bør du lade den være aktiveret.
Men skal den absolut deaktiveres, så gør det sådan her (advarsel om at dette kræver manuel tilretning af registreringsdatabasen og derfor indeholder potentielt endnu større risici end blot at lade det hele være i fred!):
1) Deaktiver IPv6 i netkortets opsætning
2) I Registry Editor, find og klik på
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters3) Dobbeltklik på DisabledComponents for at modificere
Hvis den ikke findes må du oprette den:
I Edit-menuen klikker du på New og derefter DWORD (32-bit) Value
Skriv DisabledComponents og klik Enter
Dobbeltklik på DisabledComponents4) Skriv værdien “ffffff” (otte f’er) i feltet og klik Ok.
5) Har du planer om at benytte VPN på din SBS2008 skal du også slette (men eksporter og gem først)

Alt i alt kan det vel egentlig bedst svare sig at lade den være i fred, for det bliver mindst ligeså besværligt at installere IPv6 igen den dag, det øvrige netværk kan gøre brug af det!
